Most sauces and marinades do well with soy sauce and this umami-packed soy and honey-marinade is no exception. The soy sauce is added raw to the meat so its flavors can be absorbed before the meat is cooked. Alternately, you can cook soy sauce too.

2lbsboneless chicken thighs
5tbsphoney
3tbspvegetable oil
3tbspsoy sauce
1tspsesame oil
4clovesgarlicminced
¾tspminced ginger
½tspblack pepperground
½tspkosher salt
Instructions
For the marinade, grab a bowl and mix the soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
Whisk everything together until the sauce has a runny consistency. The soy sauce is runny but it absorbs into meat quite well.
Pour the marinade sauce on top of the meat of your choice. Be sure to coat both sides of the meat.
Cook your meat. After it is cooked, remove it from the oven and take each piece out. Then take the sauce that’s leftover in the pan, and you can add some of it on top of the meat or use it as “gravy” for mashed potatoes.
