Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream Recipe

- 2 cups half and half
- 3 tbsp. matcha green tea powder
- ½ cup sugar
- 1/8 tsp. kosher or sea salt
Freeze ice cream bowl for 24 hours.
Whisk together half and half, sugar and salt in medium saucepan.
Start cooking over medium heat, then add green tea powder. Stir often allowing mixture to heat until it’s very hot but not boiling.
Remove from heat and transfer to the iced bowl. When it is cool, cover with plastic wrap and allow to chill in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
Once mixture is thoroughly chilled, transfer to a pre-chilled ice cream maker. Process according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Then transfer to an airtight container and place it in the freezer. Allow it so chill at least 3 hours before serving.
