How to make teppanyaki popcorn

Now we all are very much familiar with our traditional popcorn; the
perfect partner for cinema (especially if you are single).  Teppanyaki is made on a flat grill surface and you can add your flavors, like caramel sugar, more flavors further down the post.

Equipment

  • Teppan grill
  • Steel bowl cover
  • Grill scrapers

Ingredients

  • 1 bag corn kernels
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar add to taste and amount of popcorn you'll be making
  • 1 tbsp canola oil or any other vegetable based oil

Instructions

  • heat the griddle and make sure it’s really hot

  • pour the oil onto the grill, don’t use too much though

  • add the flavors, like a simple sugar for caramel to the oil

  • add all of the corn kernels at once

  • keep the kernels moving using a grill scraper, mixing the corn and flavors together

  • cover the mixture with a steel bowl with holes for air

  • wait until the popping dies down
